Adding a table of content on a Google spreadsheet is a very simple procedure. Kindly follow the below steps:
Open a document in Google Docs.
Add document page numbers by clicking Insert; go to page Number, and select the position that you prefer the numbers to appear.
Click Insert Numbers (This adds the page numbers to the whole document)
Click where you want the table of contents to appear in the document
Click Normal text
Select the first title in the document and highlight
Click on Heading 1
Select the second title in the document and highlight
Click on Heading 1
Select the subheading (if there is) and highlight
Click on Heading 2
Select the third title and highlight
Click on Heading 2
Select on sub heading one and highlight
Click on Heading 2
Select another sub heading two and highlight
Click on Heading 2
Click Insert
Select Table of Contents
Click the preferred table of contents
Choose With page numbers or With blue links. The table of contents will appear.
To delete it, right-click and click Delete table of contents.
The more the titles and subtitles, the more you repeat adding Heading 1 for the main title and Heading 2 for the second subtitle and Heading 3 for the smaller subtitle within a subtitle
When adding the title, you can choose the font or style you like depending on your text
Make sure to use Spacing size you prefer when creating the title
